Where Nature and People Meet...
Only 2 km on the Oubaai turnoff from the R404 road towards Herold’s Bay is where people and nature meet! Herold’s Bay Resort is your preferred destination in South Africa’s Garden Route for weddings, conferences, functions and other events. The resort also offers accommodation and is famous for its Sunday lunches.
The old family homestead was renovated and transformed into a 3-star accredited self-catering guest house, consisting of four private suites, each with its own private entrance.
Come and enjoy our famous “Best Sunday lunch experience in the Southern Cape” with live music, every Sunday from 12:00–15:00, only at the Down to Earth restaurant.
Our venues are well-known for its affordable and tasteful traditional country cuisine like our famous red wine oxtail, leg of lamb, gammon, stuffed pork roll, and pumpkin fritters.
Die Bush Lapa hosts live shows throughout the year and is also the venue of George’s only music festival, Die Bush Lapa Musiekfees, every year during the December holidays. Make sure to follow us on Facebook to stay up to date on our latest events.
